This loco was built by Alco-Brooks in November of 1922 (serial #63574, N-1as but later N-3 class). After 38 years of service to the C&EI, the loco was sold for scrap in August of 1949 to Max Schlossberg Scrap Metals. Specs - 63" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 317,500 lb and 60,300 lb tractive effort. No date was given for the photo so an approximate one was used. This is a Sid Davies photo. |
